4 Days Itinerary of Our Merzouga desert hiking

Day 1: We leave in the morning after breakfast and after we have loaded the camels. We walk across the dunes of the Erg Chebbi to a place where there are trees of Tamarisk in an Oued (dry river), where we will have lunch and continue our adventure to Erg Znigue where we will spend the night.

Day 2: Our desert trek will pass through the black desert of stones and mountains area. In that area, we will look for the shade of the Acacia trees to eat and rest a little, and then we will continue our hike until the dunes of the Erg Chebbi. We will spend the night in Merdani’s abandoned village.

Day 3: We leave Merdani and we go through the black desert of stones, to the camp of nomadic people, where we will eat, and after we leave for our Merzouga desert camp. We will spend the night there.

Day 4: After breakfast, we continue our Merzouga desert trek walking through the dunes and we climb the big Dune of Erg Chebbi, we go to the place where we have lunch and we rest a while, then we return to the Merzouga village.
